Hi, I'm Julie Niland (Mrs Niland!) and I run Mr Niland.

We’ve been selling Fish Weights since 2018 — first at our restaurant Saint Peter, then at Fish Butchery, and here online since 2019. Since then, more than 10,000 Fish Weights have made their way into kitchens around the world.

While it was created to give fish crisp, golden skin, we’ve loved hearing from people who now use theirs for almost everything — from browning chicken, steak, and vegetables to pressing a toasted sandwich. And of course, it’s still the essential tool for cooking fish beautifully.

For us, the Fish Weight is more than just another utensil. It’s something we believe belongs in every kitchen, and it’s been a joy to see how much people enjoy cooking with it.
