Mr Niland Pty Ltd (ABN 66 633 716 533) ("we", "us", "our") operates the website mrniland.com and conducts related promotions, including the Saint Peter: Chapter & Verse Pre-Order Draw and the Crisp Skin masterclass offer. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us.
When you shop on mrniland.com, we collect your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, and order details. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
When you subscribe to our marketing emails, we collect your name and email address, along with information about how you engage with our emails and website.
When you claim the Crisp Skin masterclass, we collect your name, email address, the bookseller you pre-ordered from, your order or confirmation number, and an image of your pre-order receipt. We use your name and email to send you the masterclass. If you also opt in to marketing at the same time, we record that consent separately.
When you enter the Saint Peter: Chapter & Verse Pre-Order Draw, we collect the same details described above for the masterclass. If you enter the Draw by post, we collect your name, email address, and postal address.
We may also collect technical information automatically when you visit our website, such as your device type, browser, IP address, and pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies.
We use your personal information to process and fulfil your orders, to provide customer support, and to communicate with you about your purchases.
We send the Crisp Skin masterclass to everyone who pre-orders the book and submits a valid receipt, whether or not they opt in to marketing. We use the receipt and bookseller details only to confirm that a pre-order has been made.
For the Pre-Order Draw, we use your information to verify the validity of your entry, to administer and draw the promotion, and to notify and publicise the winner. We use receipt information solely to confirm eligibility and, where necessary, to verify a winning entry with the relevant bookseller.
Where you have consented, we use your name and email address to send you marketing communications about our products, news, and offers. You can withdraw this consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
We also use information to improve our website, products, and services, and to comply with our legal obligations.
The Crisp Skin masterclass is a free pre-order bonus. Anyone who pre-orders Saint Peter: Chapter & Verse from a participating bookseller and submits a valid receipt will be sent the masterclass by email, in Australia and internationally.
Receiving the masterclass does not require you to subscribe to marketing. Submitting the claim form is a request for that specific email, and we send it to fulfil that request. Marketing consent is a separate, optional choice on the same form, and ticking it or not has no effect on whether you receive the masterclass.
We rely on trusted third-party services to operate our business, and your information may be stored or processed by them on our behalf. These include our e-commerce platform (Shopify), our email marketing platform (Klaviyo), our form and receipt-collection provider (Jotform), our payment provider, and our delivery and logistics partners. Each of these providers handles personal information under their own privacy obligations, and we only share what is necessary for them to perform their function.
Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share your information with third parties only where necessary to run our business or a promotion, including with the service providers described above, with Hardie Grant Books and participating booksellers where required to verify a pre-order or a Draw entry, and with prize delivery partners to fulfil a prize. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law. Where you opt in, we share your name and email address with Audi Australia, a partner in the Pre-Order Draw, so they can send you their own news and offers. Audi Australia handles your information under its own privacy policy, and you can unsubscribe from its emails directly with Audi at any time. This is optional and is not required to receive the masterclass or to enter the draw.
We will only send you marketing communications where you have given us consent to do so, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Opting out of marketing will not affect transactional messages necessary to complete an order you have placed, or delivery of the Crisp Skin masterclass you have claimed.
Neither entering the Pre-Order Draw nor receiving the Crisp Skin masterclass requires you to consent to marketing. If you choose to opt in, we will also send you marketing communications, which you can stop at any time.
